Just another day in Paradise:

June 5, 2009

6:45 am we are sitting enjoying our second pot of coffee, eating fresh pineapple from a fruit basket given to us by Marq and Kris, looking out on an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and Mike is saying: “The old folks have arrived!” We are in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. Wow, how lucky are we? First stop on our 40^th Anniversary Adventure.

We started this trip by going to an Il Divo Concert at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Wednesday night. Those men have”drum corps” strength voices, a memorable performance.

We flew from Portland to Maui on June 4^th, arriving to beautiful warm temperatures with cooling trade winds. Our accommodations are wonderful, we could definitely call this home. Today we will take our zippy little red Ford Mustang convertible on a drive to see north- west coast.
